Sales & Fufillment Manager

As part of our core team, we are looking for a motivated Sales & Fulfillment Manager to lead our external beer sales, market our brand, and deliver beer to our customers.  The successful individual is personable, highly energetic and creative, a self-starter, has ability to build strong customer relationships and has a passion for craft beer. The ideal candidate is adaptable to a growing and changing work environment.

This is a full-time role estimated at 40 hours per week with majority of hours on weekdays in  “peak season” (May - October) and mix of weekday and weekend hours in “off-season” (November - April).

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead sales effort of craft beer kegs, bottles and cans primarily to external customers in the greater Finger Lakes Region including Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, Ithaca, and Elmira/Corning.  This territory includes restaurants, bars, wineries, tap rooms, etc. that sell beer for consumption “on-premises” and grocery stores and bottle shops which sell beer for consumption “off-premises”. 

  • Deliver beer to all customers including beer kegs, bottles and cans.  This also includes stocking shelves of “off-premises” customers and managing their back-stock.

  • Generate new orders including creation of invoices and planning and executing deliveries.

  • Develop and execute sales strategy to achieve or exceed annual sales goals including:

    • Developing strong and lasting customer relationships with existing customers.

    • Identifying new customers

    • Promoting Brewery portfolio including education of new products and expansion of existing products

    • Promoting and marketing Brewery externally with customer partners including tastings, tap take-overs, beer pairing dinners,  brew festivals, community events, farmer’s markets and other promotional events.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales database including customer info (name, address, etc.), customer POC contact info (email, phone, etc.), sales status (in process, sold, etc.), and up-to-date log of latest interaction including date of last contact and explicit next steps (including date if applicable)

  • Provide weekly status, hours worked, and tasks completed

  • Provide customer and market feedback to Brewery.

  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record for operation of Brewery delivery vehicle(s). Travel in personal vehicle may be required.

  • Must be able to lift up to 160 lbs at least 1-2 feet into and out of delivery van.

  • At least two years’ experience in craft beverage sales and/or similar experience required.

  • Familiarity with craft beer styles and flavors.

  • Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including occasional nights and weekends.

  • A positive and collaborative attitude.

  • Basic computer proficiency including Google Docs and Quickbooks.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be willing and able to pass background checks.

Desired Experience

  • Strong passion for craft beverages, particularly Belgian style beers.

  • Cicerone certified.

Compensation

  • 40 hours per week, hourly rate based on experience.

  • Commission on sales.
